Becoming a Chiropractor

Congratulations on having chosen to become a chiropractor. Once you have completed your education there are a number of steps required for licensure in Canada. Please note that each province has unique requirements for provincial licensure and an early understanding of these will assist you in obtaining a license to practice as quickly as possible.

Candidates who graduate from schools other than those accredited through the Councils on Chiropractic Education International and its affiliates will be considered upon the request of a Canadian Provincial Regulatory Board. As such, Candidates should contact a provincial regulatory board to ascertain whether their chiropractic education will be recognized by that province for the purposes of applying to the CCEB to take its examination and have written confirmation of approval sent to the CCEB from that organization.
