Eligibility

New graduates from accredited DC Programs are required to complete all three CCEB exams.

Component A
  • May be taken 10 months before graduation from an accredited chiropractic educational institution
  • Requires an Eligibility Letter, with current GPA and date of graduation, or an official transcript from the accredited programme
Component B
  • May be taken 6 months before graduation from an accredited chiropractic educational institution, subsequent to passing of Component A
  • Requires an Eligibility Letter, with current GPA and date of graduation, or an official transcript from the accredited programme
  • May be taken with Component C if within 3 months of graduation
Component C
  • May be taken 3 months before graduation from an accredited chiropractic institution
  • Requires an Eligibility Letter, with current GPA and date of graduation, or an official transcript from the accredited programme
  • Component B and C exams must be completed within 3 years of each other
CCEB Certificate
  • Issued upon completion of required exams and receipt of official transcript
Recertification
  • Components B and C upon direction from a provincial/territorial licensing office
Entry to Practice in Canada
  • Chiropractors entering Canada from:
  1. Non regulated jurisdiction – Components A, B and C required.
  2. Regulated jurisdiction with less than 3 years experience – Components A, B and C required.
  3. Regulated jurisdiction with greater than 3 years experience – Components B and C required upon written direction submitted to the CCEB from a provincial/territorial licensing office.
Rewrite Opportunities
  • After 3 unsuccessful attempts in any exam component, the candidate must wait 1 year before attempting that or any other exam component. There is a limit of 4 attempts on any exam.
Experienced Chiropractors seeking initial registration in Canada should seek direction from a provincial licencing office regarding exam requirements prior to registering for CCEB Exams.
